Global Clean Up EXTENDED
Earth Day started in 1970 as a “Teach In” to raise awareness about the importance of a clean environment. Over 20 million people in the USA participated in picking up trash, planting trees, and spreading the word.
Today Earth Day is called the Global Clean Up because it is celebrated worldwide. Last year over ONE BILLION people helped out.
CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER: The City of Westminster and PRL have extended the timeframe for the city-wide Global Clean Up from April 13th to April 26th at Parks and Open Spaces, including our WHOS Dog Off-leash Natural Area.
It's easy to get involved. Find the location on the MAP where you want to volunteer and fill out the City's SIGN UP FORM . Be sure to include the dog park's ID #18 on the form.
Trash bags, gloves, and other supplies will be provided.
The Thank You BBQ has been moved to April 26th at the Downtown Westminster Pavilion, from 11 am-1 pm.
All ages welcome!
